Governance

When I was just beginning my graduate education in sociology, I ran across the following ideas from political culture.

  • In rebellion, a political culture keeps the institutional structure of the body politic, but replaces the people in power
  • In revolution, the political culture keeps the people in power, but replaces the institutional structure of the body politic.
  • In utopia, the political culture changes both the institutional structure of the body politic and the people in power.

Just a little food for thought. I do not recall the name of the author of these ideas.
